A private family based in Lugano, Switzerland is seeking an experienced, warm & engaging Full-Time Nanny to care primarily for their 18-month-old child. This is a live-out position, with a private studio provided nearby.

The role is approximately 37 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday, with some international travel required. The nanny will occasionally assist with babysitting the family’s two older children, but the primary focus will be the youngest child. The family places strong importance on the child’s development & independence, so the ideal candidate will be confident in creating age-appropriate activities, encouraging learning through play & supporting everyday developmental milestones.

The ideal candidate

• Several years of professional nanny experience, ideally with toddlers
• Educational background in childcare, education, child development or a related field highly desirable
• Warm, positive, energetic & naturally engaging personality
• Experienced in supporting children’s development & encouraging independence
• Fluent English essential; Italian is an advantage
• Driving licence preferred, but not essential
• Mature, reliable, discreet & professionally presented
• Comfortable travelling internationally with the family
• Not seeking a candidate who is primarily focused on cooking or housekeeping
