Job Description

Tiger Private is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join a prestigious 65m private and charter motor yacht operating a dual-season itinerary. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional with a strong background as a Head Chef on Yachts who thrives in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.

The successful candidate will have a particular passion for Mediterranean cuisine and a proven ability to deliver exceptional dining experiences for both owners and charter guests. Candidate will only be considered with proven prior experience as a Head Chef on a similar-sized yacht, formal culinary training with expertise in Mediterranean cuisine, and the ability to remain calm and composed during busy charter periods. This is a full-time, non-rotational position, and the yacht is seeking someone available to start by the end of April at the latest.

As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for all galley operations on board, leading a small team alongside a Sous Chef and Crew Chef. You will oversee menu creation, provisioning, budgeting, and the overall culinary experience for guests and crew. The role requires someone highly organised, creative, and adaptable, who can work efficiently in a compact galley while maintaining consistently high standards. In addition to food preparation and presentation, you will manage food inventory, source premium ingredients at various ports, and ensure the yacht remains fully provisioned while maintaining strict budget control and minimising waste.

You will be expected to supervise and mentor the Sous Chef to ensure smooth and efficient galley operations while collaborating closely with the Captain and interior crew to deliver seamless service for guests. Strong communication skills and a guest-focused mindset are essential, as you will regularly engage with guests to understand their preferences and accommodate any last-minute requests with professionalism and flexibility.

Candidates must hold valid STCW certification, Food Safety Level 2 (or higher), and a current ENG1 medical certificate. Due to cabin arrangements, female candidates are preferred, although strong male candidates will also be considered. This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded yacht and deliver outstanding cuisine while travelling to exceptional destinations.
