Head of Compliance

Location: DIFC, Dubai
Salary: AED 25,000 – 35,000

An international asset management firm based in DIFC is seeking a Head of Compliance to lead and oversee the firm’s regulatory and compliance framework within a DFSA-regulated financial services environment. This is a senior leadership role, working closely with executive management to ensure full adherence to DFSA regulations and robust internal governance standards.

The successful candidate must be DFSA-registered (or eligible and previously approved by the DFSA) and will play a critical role in shaping, implementing, and maintaining the firm’s compliance, risk, and control framework.

Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the DFSA-approved Compliance Officer and primary point of contact with the regulator
• Lead and oversee compliance with DFSA regulations and internal policies across the business
• Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks
• Manage all regulatory filings, reporting, and communications with the DFSA
• Design and lead the compliance monitoring programme and internal control testing
• Provide strategic regulatory advice to senior management and business units
• Oversee AML, KYC, and financial crime compliance frameworks, ensuring best practice standards
• Ensure ongoing regulatory horizon scanning and advise on upcoming changes
• Deliver compliance training and guidance to internal stakeholders

Requirements:
• DFSA registered / approved Compliance Officer (ESSENTIAL)
• Significant experience in a senior compliance role within asset management, wealth management, or financial services
• Strong and demonstrable knowledge of DFSA regulations and DIFC regulatory frameworks
• Proven experience leading compliance functions, monitoring programmes, and regulatory reporting
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to operate in a regulated environment
