Head Of SEO & AI Search
Job Description
Head of SEO & AI Search (AEO)
Location: Dubai (remote / hybrid), focused on the UK market
Salary: up to 40,000 AED per month
The Role
We’re looking for a Head of SEO & AI Search (AEO) to lead and evolve a full organic search strategy — blending strong SEO foundations with forward-thinking Answer Engine Optimisation to capture visibility across AI overviews, assistants, and emerging search platforms.
This role will shape how both customers and AI-driven search experiences discover, interpret, and prioritise the client. As the strategic owner of organic growth, you’ll work closely with senior leadership and have a clear mandate to build a best-in-class, future-ready search presence that sets us apart in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and take full ownership of the SEO and AEO strategy for the UK website, ensuring alignment with key commercial objectives including revenue growth, visibility, and brand authority.
- Shape and lead our AI-era search approach, optimising for entities, structured data, and content formats designed for AI aggregation, overviews, and retrieval-driven experiences.
- Evaluate, select, and manage the SEO technology stack (e.g., Semrush, Ahrefs, technical crawlers, and BI/reporting tools) to effectively execute and scale the strategy.
Content Hubs & AEO-Optimised Experiences
- Design and develop a market-leading “ideas, advice, and inspiration” content ecosystem centred on workplace, warehouse, and safety topics to drive authority and organic growth.
- Architect scalable content hubs, topic clusters, FAQs, and internal linking structures that enhance discoverability and clarity for both users and AI-driven search systems.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, ideation, and content production, while maintaining rigorous editorial standards, accuracy, and brand consistency.
Technical & On-Site SEO
- Lead continuous technical SEO audits and optimisation initiatives, improving crawlability, indexation, site architecture, faceted navigation, and overall page performance.
- Take ownership of structured data strategy and implementation (including Product, FAQ, HowTo, Organisation and other relevant schema) to enhance visibility across rich results and AI-driven search experiences.
- Partner closely with development and product teams to scope, prioritise, and deliver high-impact technical improvements that support organic growth and user experience.
Data, Insight & Optimisation
- Utilise search logs, keyword research tools, and analytics platforms to uncover growth opportunities, inform content strategy, and measure performance impact.
- Develop clear, commercially focused reporting on organic visibility, content performance, and revenue contribution for senior leadership.
- Design and execute structured experiments across page titles, layouts, FAQ frameworks, and internal linking strategies to drive continuous optimisation and measurable gains.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Social Media & Paid Social Lead to align campaign messaging, seasonal themes, and landing page strategy across search and social channels.
- Ensure flagship content and priority landing pages are strategically amplified through both paid and organic activity, leveraging audience insights from social platforms to refine targeting and messaging.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience leading SEO strategy for a large ecommerce or B2B website with an extensive product catalogue.
- Deep expertise in modern SEO, alongside a strong interest in AI-driven search — including AI overviews, assistants, entity-based optimisation, and structured data.
- Demonstrable success in building and scaling content ecosystems (hubs, clusters, resource centres) that deliver measurable traffic growth and commercial impact.
- Highly proficient in leveraging AI tools to enhance research, analysis, and content workflows, with sound judgement on where human insight and editorial oversight are critical.
- Strong analytical capability, with confidence using analytics platforms to translate data into clear priorities, actions, and business decisions.
- Experience in UK or European markets is advantageous, as is exposure to B2B or industrial/workplace sectors, though not essential.
