We are seeking an experienced, professional and highly trustworthy Housekeeper to join a private household in Zürich on a permanent 50% basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone who takes genuine pride in maintaining a beautiful home to the highest standards and enjoys working independently in a long-term position.

The property is an elegant villa spanning four floors, requiring meticulous care and attention. The principals travel extensively & as a result, the role varies depending on whether the family is in residence.

The Role

When the principals are in Zürich, you will provide comprehensive housekeeping support, typically working around three days per week (with flexibility depending on the family's schedule and any guests staying at the property). During these periods, responsibilities will include:

• Daily and weekly housekeeping to an exceptionally high standard
• Deep cleaning on a rotational basis, ensuring every area of the home receives regular detailed attention
• Laundry, ironing, garment care, folding and wardrobe organisation
• Changing and preparing beds
• Maintaining kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces to immaculate standards
• Recycling and waste management
• Emptying dehumidifiers and monitoring the general upkeep of the property
• Coordinating access for trusted contractors and service providers, including handymen where required
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household

When the family is travelling, the role focuses on caring for and preserving the home. Duties include:

• Visiting the property approximately twice per week
• Airing the house by opening windows
• Running taps periodically to maintain the property's systems
• Preparing the house ahead of the family's return, including changing bed linen and ensuring everything is guest-ready
• Carrying out ongoing deep-cleaning projects room by room
• Monitoring the overall condition of this beautiful historic villa and identifying any maintenance concerns

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about housekeeping and takes pride in delivering immaculate cleaning standards. Candidates with experience in luxury private households or a five-star hotel environment will be particularly well suited, although applicants with an exceptional professional cleaning background are equally encouraged to apply.

A driving licence and access to a car would be highly advantageous, particularly for recycling and occasional household errands.
