Job Description

Tiger Private is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a private family based in Knightsbridge, London, for an experienced, professional, and discreet Housekeeper to join their established household team.

This is a wonderful opportunity to work within a kind, respectful, and well-organised household, with clearly defined roles, strong operational support, and excellent internal communication. The successful candidate will report to the Household Supervisor / Head of Housekeeping and play a key role in maintaining the residence to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative household team, the Housekeeper will be responsible for the full upkeep of private rooms and common areas, including the careful treatment of delicate surfaces such as marble, limestone, and wood. The role also encompasses wardrobe and closet management, laundry and pressing (including delicate and high-value fabrics), and packing and unpacking for principals and guests.

Additional responsibilities include light breakfast preparation, table setting and service support, grocery shopping and errands, household inventory management, plant and floral care, and the feeding and washing of the family dog. The Housekeeper will also support the wider household team with general duties as needed.

About You

We're looking for a candidate with proven housekeeping experience gained in high-end private residences, luxury hotels, or aboard yachts, with excellent wardrobe management and packing/unpacking skills. A strong understanding of cleaning products suited to delicate surfaces, confidence with pressing equipment, and a good working knowledge of plant care are essential. Basic machine sewing is desirable but not essential.

Above all, attitude and personality matter as much as technical skill. The household is seeking someone humble, kind, respectful, and genuinely collaborative - someone who takes pride in their work, brings a positive and solutions-focused approach, and is comfortable working closely as part of a team.

Key Details

  • Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, Live-Out
  • Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 gross per annum, dependent on experience
  • Start Date: As soon as a suitable candidate is identified, ideally before October 2026
  • Notice Period: Three months
  • Working Schedule: Flexible shifts, Monday–Sunday when principals are in residence; Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 when principals are not in residence

Requirements

  • Full right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Good spoken English
  • Comfortable working around pets
  • Excellent attention to detail and a discreet, calm, and professional manner

If you have the relevant experience and are looking for a rewarding role within a warm and professional household, we would love to hear from you.
