An experienced and reliable Housekeeper/Cook is required for a fully staffed private residence in a beautiful part of London, St Johns Wood.

The role is to support one Principal, with occasional visits from his son and young grandchild. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who enjoys both cooking and housekeeping, working as part of a friendly, long-standing household team. A beautiful self-contained one-bedroom apartment with a separate entrance is provided as part of the package. The accommodation is maintained to a high standard, offering privacy and comfort within the estate.

Key Responsibilities

Cooking (approx. 50%)

• Assist the full-time Chef with meal preparation and service as required.
• Confidently follow recipes
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and pantry at all times.
• Cover for the Chef during annual leave
• Manage grocery stocks, pantry supplies, and ensure all kitchen areas remain tidy and well organised.

Housekeeping (approx. 50%)

• Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team, providing light housekeeping support as required.
• Assist with daily duties such as tidying, laundry, and ensuring the residence remains well presented.
• Help maintain household organisation and cleanliness to a high standard.
• Assist with occasional errands or ad hoc household tasks.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working in a private, fully staffed household.
• Confident and capable in the kitchen, with a genuine interest in cooking and food presentation.
• Team player with a positive, proactive attitude and excellent attention to detail.
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional at all times.
• Fluent English; right to work in the UK.
• DBS check required.

Hours will be 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday 10am-3pm/ 5pm-8pm and Saturdays as required, circa 10.30am-3.30pm.
