Job Description

Title: Human Resources Director  

Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 p.a.

Start: ASAP

Tiger is partnered with a U.S based food distributer that is looking for a Human Resources Director. They are looking for a well-rounded Human Resources professional that enjoys a fast paced environment. Previous experience in a similar industry is imperative.  This position is five days a week in office, and they are in the Bronx, New York.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and operational requirements.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on employee relations, talent management, compensation, and workforce optimization.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for production.
  • Oversee onboarding programs to ensure successful employee integration and retention.
  • Investigate employee concerns, complaints, and workplace conflicts, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.
  • Advise managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and corrective action processes.
  • Develop employee engagement and retention programs to reduce turnover and improve workforce stability.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with labor standards, wage and hour laws, immigration requirements, and equal employment opportunity regulations.
  • Manage HR policies, procedures, and handbooks.
  • Oversee compensation structures, salary administration, and incentive programs.
  • Manage employee benefits programs and vendor relationships.
  • Full oversight of benefits and payroll.
  • Partner with operations and safety teams to promote a strong safety culture.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration
  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, meat processing, perishable goods, distribution, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-site operations and large hourly work force preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
