Role Overview

We are hiring a Junior Financial Controller to work at holding company level for a small group of related entities within a diamond trading business. This is a hands on accounting role suited to someone meticulous, structured, and comfortable owning the numbers day to day.

The role focuses on straightforward, clean accounting, strong controls, and producing clear, easy to understand management reports rather than over-engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full accounting cycle for the holding company and related entities

• Hands-on bookkeeping, reconciliations, and month end close

• Prepare simple, clear management reports (P&L, cashflow, balances)

• Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations

• Ensure accuracy of ledgers, journals, accruals, and balances

• Supervise and manage one accounts team member

• Review and approve AP/AR, payments, and bank reconciliations

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow tracking

• Liaise with auditors, banks, and external advisors as required

• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting and regulatory requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 3–6 years’ experience in accounting / junior FC roles

• Experience working across multiple entities or group structures

• Very detail-oriented and organised

• Comfortable being hands on rather than purely supervisory

• Able to translate numbers into clear, simple insights for management

• UAE experience strongly preferred

Systems & Skills

• Strong Excel skills (clear reporting, not complex modelling)

• Accounting software experience (Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)

• Solid understanding of month end, intercompany, and controls
