Live-in Nanny – Hertfordshire
Location: Hertfordshire
Start Date: October 2025
Salary: £50,000–£60,000 gross per annum, DOE
Accommodation: Beautiful, newly renovated self-contained accommodation provided exclusively for the nanny
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00am-7:00pm, plus two babysitting evenings per week and occasional weekend support by prior agreement
Driver: Essential
Travel: Occasional UK and international travel may be required, including family holidays and ski trips
The Family
A lovely family relocating from London to their stunning country home in Hertfordshire are seeking an experienced and dedicated nanny to care for their two school-aged children on a long-term basis.
The family are warm, approachable and highly respectful of those who work within their home. They are looking for someone who will become a trusted and valued part of their children's lives, whilst maintaining professional boundaries and standards.
The household is fully staffed, allowing the nanny to focus primarily on the children's care, development and day-to-day wellbeing. This role would suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively within a team and takes pride in creating a positive, organised and nurturing environment for children to thrive in.
The family would be particularly interested in meeting candidates with experience supporting children with additional needs, including SEN or ADHD, as they value a calm, adaptable and understanding approach.
The Children
- Boy, aged 8
- Girl, aged 10
Both children are bright, kind and energetic. They enjoy being active, learning new things and spending time outdoors. They respond well to consistency, encouragement and a nanny who can bring structure and fun to their day.
As they will be starting a new school in September, the family would particularly value someone who can help support this transition and provide a reassuring and stable presence.

The live-in accommodation is exceptional and fully self-contained, offering:

Responsibilities
- Sole and shared-charge childcare
- Managing morning routines and school preparation
- School drop-offs and pick-ups
- Supporting homework and academic development
- Arranging engaging activities, outings and social opportunities
- Planning enjoyable and enriching school holiday schedules
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
- Children's laundry and wardrobe organisation
- Keeping children's bedrooms and play spaces tidy and organised
- Managing children's routines and schedules
- Encouraging independence, confidence and good manners
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and development
- Babysitting two evenings per week
- Occasional weekend assistance by prior arrangement
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
- Warm, engaging and genuinely passionate about childcare
- Experienced caring for school-aged children
- Naturally proactive and able to use initiative
- Confident supporting homework and academic progress
- A careful and reliable driver
- Comfortable preparing nutritious meals for children
- Organised and capable of managing busy schedules
- Calm, patient and emotionally intuitive
- Energetic and happy participating in activities and outdoor pursuits
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (SEN/ADHD experience highly desirable)
- A native English speaker or exceptionally fluent English speaker
- Comfortable living and working in a countryside setting
- Able to work harmoniously alongside other household staff
- Seeking a long-term position where they can build meaningful relationships with a family

Additional Information
