Live-in Nanny, Notting Hill
Job Description
Title: Live-in Nanny, Notting Hill
Salary: £50,000–£65,000 DOE | Start Date: August
Accommodation: Beautiful private studio apartment with its own separate entrance, situated on one of Notting Hill's most desirable residential streets. Offering complete privacy and independence in one of London's most prestigious locations.
Tiger Private is delighted to present an exceptional opportunity for a warm, experienced, and proactive Live-in Nanny to join a welcoming high-net-worth family based in the heart of Notting Hill.
The successful candidate will provide dedicated care for two delightful children-a 5-year-old boy and 3-year-old girl. Both children attend a local Montessori nursery, and the family embrace a child-led, Montessori-inspired philosophy, placing a strong emphasis on independence, creativity, emotional intelligence, and learning through exploration.
Working Monday to Friday, typically 8:00am to 7:00pm, with occasional flexibility and one evening of babysitting each week, this is an outstanding long-term opportunity for an experienced Nanny seeking a rewarding position within a warm, respectful, and fully staffed household.
This lovely family are seeking someone who will become a trusted and valued part of their home, creating a calm, engaging, and structured environment where both children can thrive. The ideal candidate will confidently plan enriching, age-appropriate activities, encourage learning through play, support developmental milestones, and adapt activities to suit each child's individual personality and interests. A genuine passion for outdoor adventures, creativity, and fostering independence is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing attentive, nurturing care for both children.
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate developmental activities.
- Encouraging learning through play in line with a Montessori-inspired philosophy.
- Supporting the children's emotional, social, and educational development.
- Managing nursery and school routines, pick-ups, activities, and outings.
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Maintaining the organisation of the children's bedrooms, wardrobes, and play spaces.
- Working collaboratively with the parents and wider household team.
- Accompanying the family on travel when required.
The family spend approximately 2–3 months each year in Switzerland and regularly enjoy weekends and school holidays at their beautiful Cotswolds residence. Flexibility to travel is preferred; however, the family are happy to arrange temporary childcare cover during longer periods abroad if required.
The household is fully staffed, including a dedicated housekeeper and lunchtime chef, allowing the Nanny to focus primarily on the children's care, routines, and development. Whilst cooking is not a primary responsibility, preparing simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children will form part of the daily routine.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced childcare professional looking to build a long-term relationship with a kind, family-oriented household. In return, the successful candidate will receive an excellent salary, exceptional private accommodation in one of London's most sought-after locations, and the opportunity to become an integral part of a happy and welcoming family home.
Candidate Requirements
- Significant previous experience working as a private Nanny.
- Experience caring for children aged 3–5 years.
- Knowledge of Montessori or child-led educational approaches is highly desirable.
- Warm, calm, proactive, and highly organised.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude.
- Happy to travel occasionally with the family.
- Excellent references and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional Nanny seeking a long-term, fulfilling role with a lovely family who value warmth, discretion, and high-quality childcare.
