Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Polymer Trading Manager to lead and expand trading operations across the UAE and wider GCC, driving business growth, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new market opportunities.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing the regional trading strategy, managing key customer accounts, expanding the client portfolio, and increasing market share across the polymers sector
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the trading strategy across the UAE and GCC markets to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers while identifying and securing new business opportunities across the region.
- Build long-term relationships with manufacturers, distributors, converters, and end users within the polymers industry.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, contracts, and supply terms to maximise profitability.
- Monitor regional market trends, pricing movements, competitor activity, and supply chain developments to identify new trading opportunities.
- Work closely with procurement, logistics, finance, and operations teams to ensure the seamless execution of trading deals.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and customer acquisition through to contract negotiation and account management.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market analysis for senior leadership.
- Represent the business at industry exhibitions, networking events, and customer meetings across the GCC.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and strategic partners to ensure a competitive product offering.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining long-term commercial partnerships.
- Provide regular updates and performance reports to the Director of Sales.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within polymer or plastics trading.
- Demonstrable success in developing business across the UAE and GCC markets.
- Strong network within the regional polymers industry would be highly advantageous.
- Proven experience growing customer portfolios and delivering against sales and profitability targets.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Solid understanding of polymer products, pricing, international trade, and supply chain processes.
- Highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- A positive, energetic, and enthusiastic approach with the ability to inspire confidence with customers and colleagues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UAE and GCC.
