Job Title: Principal Consultant

Division: New York

Reports to: Head of New York Office

Hours of Work: Full Time, Permanent, Hybrid (3 days in Midtown offices)

Base salary: $80,000 – 90,000 p.a. + generous commission

We’re looking for a Principal Consultant with a strong track record of placing senior-level talent, paired with outstanding client relationship and business development skills, ideally within the financial or professional services sectors. You’ll be working alongside a highly experienced group with over 40 years of combined expertise in recruitment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As Principal Consultant, you will drive business development with a focus on senior-level roles across financial and professional services. You will play a key role in managing existing relationships while continuously building new connections with internal Talent Acquisition, Hiring Managers and C-suite executives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of year-on-year high billings, and an understanding of the full 360 recruitment cycle for senior-level roles. A background in executive search would be ideal.

 

WHO YOU ARE

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience, ideally within financial or professional services
  • Proven track record of consistently high billings
  • Demonstrated success in senior-level placements
  • Excellent business development and relationship management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and composed
  • Exceptional presentation and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence
  • Positive and professional demeanor
  • Highly organized, with strong multitasking skills
