Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Private Chef for a 4-month contract role, providing daily meal preparation and kitchen management for a private household in Dubai. The ideal candidate is a skilled, flexible cook who can confidently prepare a varied menu to a high standard, manage the household's kitchen independently, and accommodate specific dietary requirements and preferences. This is a fixed-term contract position suited to a candidate already holding their own valid UAE visa.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and prepare daily meals for the family, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, accommodating individual preferences, allergies and dietary requirements.
• Plan weekly menus in consultation with the family, offering variety and seasonal, nutritionally balanced options.
• Manage grocery shopping, ingredient sourcing and kitchen inventory, ensuring freshness, quality and cost-conscious purchasing.
• Prepare meals and canapés for occasional dinner parties, family gatherings and small private events as required.
• Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, safety and kitchen cleanliness at all times, in line with household and food safety standards.
• Manage kitchen equipment, utensils and appliances, ensuring proper care, maintenance and organisation.
• Coordinate with household staff (housekeeping, estate management) to ensure smooth daily operations around mealtimes.
• Adapt to changing schedules, last-minute requests and the family's evolving needs with flexibility and professionalism.
• Maintain strict discretion and confidentiality regarding all household and family matters.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a private chef, personal chef or in a similar high-end household or hospitality setting.
• Culinary training or formal qualification preferred, with strong hands-on cooking experience across a variety of cuisines.
• Comprehensive understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Experience catering to specific dietary requirements (e.g. allergies, intolerances, religious or lifestyle diets).
• Available immediately or at short notice for the full 4-month contract period.
• Discreet, trustworthy and comfortable working within a private family's home.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage grocery budgets and kitchen stock independently.
• Flexible and adaptable, with strong communication skills and a proactive, service-oriented attitude.
