Job Description

Personal Chef – Private Household

Location: Hünenberg See, Canton Zug, Switzerland
Position: Full-time, Live-out
Hours: 7am to 4pm 5 days a week

The Opportunity

Tiger recruitment are supporting a private family based in Hünenberg See, Zug, who are seeking an experienced and highly reliable Personal Chef to join their household on a full-time, live-out basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing fresh, nutritious and family-oriented meals for two adults and one child, with a particular focus on healthy Western and Russian-inspired cuisine. The role requires someone who is confident preparing meals for different dietary and nutritional requirements, including baby food, high-protein and anti-inflammatory meals, as well as pregnancy-safe dishes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional chef who enjoys working in a private household and values consistency, discretion and high-quality ingredients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare daily meals for the family, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks as required.
  • Prepare age-appropriate and nutritious meals for the baby.
  • Develop menus around healthy, balanced and high-protein nutrition.
  • Prepare anti-inflammatory meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
  • Ensure all meals are suitable for pregnancy where required.
  • Prepare Western and Russian cuisine, adapting dishes to the family's preferences.
  • Manage weekly menu planning and meal preparation.
  • Shop for groceries and source high-quality, fresh and seasonal ingredients.
  • Maintain pantry and refrigerator inventory and ensure ingredients are appropriately stocked.
  • Coordinate with trusted food suppliers where required.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Ensure appropriate food storage, preparation and hygiene standards.
  • Occasionally prepare meals for visiting family members and small family gatherings.
  • Work closely and professionally with the existing housekeeper and other household members.
  • Remain flexible and responsive to the family's changing daily requirements.

Entertaining

The family receives guests only a few times per year, primarily when family members visit. The chef should therefore be comfortable preparing meals for occasional additional guests, ranging from intimate family meals to slightly larger gatherings.

The entertaining style is predominantly family-oriented rather than formal, with an emphasis on delicious, healthy and beautifully presented food.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years of professional culinary experience.
  • Previous experience working as a Personal Chef or within a private household is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of healthy, nutritious and balanced cooking.
  • Experience preparing baby and children's meals.
  • Good understanding of high-protein and anti-inflammatory nutrition.
  • Experience preparing pregnancy-safe meals and awareness of relevant food-safety considerations.
  • Excellent menu-planning and organisational skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to household requirements.
  • High standards of cleanliness and kitchen organisation.
  • A warm, discreet and professional manner.
  • A genuine passion for preparing fresh, wholesome food for a family.

Personal Qualities

The family is looking for someone who is:

  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Discreet and respectful of privacy
  • Organised and detail-oriented
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Health-conscious
  • Family-oriented
  • Proactive and self-sufficient
  • Warm and personable

The successful candidate will become an important part of the household and should be committed to providing a consistently high level of service while respecting the family's privacy and way of life.
