Tiger Private is seeking an experienced, highly professional and safety-conscious Captain to command a 100ft Sunreef Power Catamaran for a private couple. This is an exciting opportunity to join a strictly private yacht programme, providing exceptional service while overseeing the safe, efficient and seamless operation of the vessel.

The yacht is scheduled to be collected in Cannes in November 2026 and will operate across the Mediterranean and Caribbean, with approximately five months cruising in the Med, three months in the Caribbean and four months on standby. The vessel is preparing for registration under the British Virgin Islands (BVI) flag.

The owners value professionalism, discretion, mutual respect and a high standard of onboard service. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the vessel, its crew, safety and day-to-day operations, ensuring the yacht is maintained and operated to the highest standards.

Key Requirements

• Qualifications: Minimum Master 500 GT Certificate of Competency (CoC), or an equivalent qualification accepted for the vessel’s intended operation and BVI registration.

• Experience: Proven experience as a Captain on comparable private yachts, with strong leadership, navigational and technical management skills.

• Safety: Excellent knowledge of maritime safety, emergency procedures and vessel maintenance.

• Discretion: Absolute confidentiality is essential. The successful candidate must sign a comprehensive NDA before joining.

• Professional Conduct: Strictly non-smoking and zero-drug tolerance onboard, with limited personal phone use while on duty.

• Social Media: No posting of yacht, owner or guest photos, videos, locations or itineraries on personal social media.

• Logistics: Valid passport with at least two years remaining.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: $150,000–$200,000 USD per annum, with a stable year-round salary.

• Schedule: Eight months of active cruising and four months on standby.

• Seasonal Breaks: Flexible off-season breaks, anticipated around October–November and March–April, subject to the yacht’s operational schedule.

• Annual Leave: 43 days of paid leave per year, inclusive of 30 days’ annual leave and 13 public holidays.

• Crew Wellbeing: The owners value crew happiness and work-life balance. Subject to the yacht’s schedule, operational requirements, owner approval, insurance and flag-state requirements, there may be an opportunity for crew to host family or friends onboard for a week. This is discretionary rather than guaranteed.
