Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer – Fit Out to plan, organize, and coordinate project execution on site and with internal departments. The role ensures projects are completed within agreed timeframes, budgets, approved designs, and quality standards, while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and supporting ongoing business continuity.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed project implementation plans and organize resources (manpower, materials, tools, and equipment) to meet contractual obligations and client expectations.

  • Source quotations from labour sub-contractors, identify cost-effective options, obtain approvals, and arrange appointments in coordination with the Quantity Survey (QS) Department.

  • Coordinate and organize project installation designs based on layouts provided by the client/consultant, and obtain necessary client approvals.

  • Conduct regular site meetings with clients and consultants, address queries, implement required changes, and arrange quotations for additional works when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all internal HSE / QA / QC procedures and maintain required schedules and documentation.

  • Supervise site activities on a daily basis, providing on-the-spot guidance to ensure high-quality workmanship and smooth project execution.

  • Keep clients and consultants regularly informed of project progress and resolve site-related issues promptly.

  • Ensure quality assurance checks are carried out on finished products prior to delivery to confirm compliance with client specifications.

  • Manage site handover upon project completion and obtain completion certificates to confirm client satisfaction and avoid future disputes.

  • Ensure all municipal and legal requirements are fully complied with.

  • Complete all project close-out procedures, including coordination with subcontractors, QS, and Accounts departments.

  • Approve invoices for submission and ensure timely collection of payments, coordinating closely with the QS team on all commercial matters.

  • Coordinate with clients and external agencies to ensure projects meet required standards and exceed client expectations.

  • Ensure all contract documentation, schedules, and reports are accurately completed and maintained.

Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of experience in the construction industry, with strong exposure to fit-out / turnkey projects.

  • Extensive knowledge of site operations and hands-on experience managing sites independently for 2–3 years.

  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule control.
