On behalf of our client, a Dynamic and young Swiss Tech company based in Solothurn, we are seeking an experienced Research Scientist – AI/ML & Signal Processing
As a Research Scientist – AI/ML & Signal Processing, you develop new algorithmic approaches grounded in physical understanding and machine learning. You analyze complex sensor data, create new representations, and abstract signals to extract relevant information.
Your responsibilities in detail

Develop physically grounded models to describe and interpret our radar signals in real-world environments

Research and develop new ML models and first-principles models

Analyze and interpret motion signatures, sources of interference, and noise patterns

Develop and validate feature-extraction pipelines for machine learning

Collaborate with engineering team members to integrate prototypes into production systems

Contribute to experimental projects
What you bring

PhD or Master’s degree in physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a related field

Solid knowledge of signal processing, radar-based sensing, or numerical modeling

Strong mathematical foundation

Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow

Ability to systematically analyze complex signals and derive actionable information

Scientific curiosity, initiative, and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
