Retail Product Technologist

A prestigious arts organisation based in West London are seeking a hard-working, proactive, and personable Retail Product Technologist who can hit the ground running. A fantastic opportunity to be part of an inspiring and highly respected organisation.

Contract: Permanent 

Working Pattern: Hybrid

What you’ll Do:

  • Coordinate product compliance and certification across relevant retail categories and territories
  • Manage compliance documentation, records and product information, including third-party testing and specifications
  • Review product labelling, warnings and packaging information to ensure regulatory requirements are met
  • Own the end-to-end product compliance process, working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Design and external partners
  • Monitor relevant legislation, conduct risk assessments and support the development of compliance policies and processes
  • Work with suppliers to identify and resolve compliance issues, including corrective actions and product recall processes
  • Support sustainability requirements, training and process improvements across retail teams, including relevant product certifications

Who you are:

  • Proven experience in product compliance within a retail environment
  • Strong knowledge of UK, EU and international regulatory and certification requirements
  • Experience working with suppliers and manufacturing partners across international supply chains
  • Strong attention to detail with experience managing technical documentation and compliance records
  • Understanding of sustainability requirements and relevant certifications, including GOTS, FSC and SedEx
  • Proactive, organised and collaborative, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
  • Strong written, numerical and interpersonal skills, with confidence working across teams and external stakeholders
