Job Description

Senior Director – Client Advisory & Business Development

Location:DIFC

Salary: AED 40,000 (flexible) plus strong commission and 50/50 split on book of business brought over.

Company Overview

The firm is a Dubai based, DFSA regulated investment and advisory business providing bespoke investment solutions to high net worth and institutional clients. The firm focuses on disciplined investment strategies, long term capital growth, and client centric advice across public and private markets, working closely with strategic partners to access differentiated investment opportunities.

Role Overview

The Senior Director is responsible for leading client relationship initiatives, driving business growth, and ensuring the delivery of high quality investment and advisory services. The role focuses on strategic client engagement, business development, and the ongoing development of tailored investment solutions aligned with client objectives and market opportunities.

Acting as a senior liaison between clients, partners, and internal teams, the Senior Director plays a key role in strengthening client relationships, enhancing market presence, and supporting sustainable revenue growth.

The ideal candidate should have AUM of 25-40,000,000 and will come from an asset management or institutional investment background, with strong exposure to portfolio construction, investment strategy, and client advisory at a sophisticated level. Experience working with high net worth or institutional clients is essential, alongside the ability to articulate investment ideas, market views, and portfolio outcomes with credibility and clarity.

Candidates from a wealth management background may also be considered, provided they have worked in a discretionary or advisory led environment with complex client needs, and can demonstrate genuine investment depth rather than a purely sales driven approach. The role requires an individual who is commercially minded, comfortable engaging senior clients, and capable of bridging investment strategy with relationship management in a regulated, institutional setting.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Advisory Management

  • Build, maintain, and deepen relationships with existing and prospective clients through proactive engagement and trusted advisory support.

  • Provide tailored investment advice and solutions aligned with client objectives, risk profiles, and prevailing market conditions.

  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual client meetings, including proactive portfolio reviews at least every six months.

  • Serve as a senior point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring timely, professional, and high-quality responses.

  • Address and resolve client issues or complaints efficiently, coordinating with internal teams where required.

  • Educate clients on the firm’s investment philosophy, strategies, and product offering.

Strategic & Business Development

  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of the firm’s business development and client acquisition strategy.

  • Research and analyse market conditions, investment opportunities, and macroeconomic trends to support informed client advice and strategic decision making.

  • Identify opportunities for business growth, strategic partnerships, and product development.

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment between client strategies, investment execution, and operational delivery.

  • Support initiatives aimed at improving client experience, operational efficiency, and long term commercial performance.

Performance, Organisation & Leadership

  • Operate with a high level of organisation and efficiency, managing multiple priorities while delivering against agreed KPIs and revenue targets.

  • Demonstrate initiative and autonomy in expanding client relationships and generating new business opportunities.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development through training, workshops, and industry engagement.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with internal policies, procedures, and the firm’s code of ethics and professional conduct.

  • Adhere at all times to DFSA regulatory requirements and applicable compliance standards.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.

  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, CFP, or CAIA are advantageous.
