Finance Operations & Tax Compliance Senior Associate

 

Location: Abu Dhabi Hybrid Working

We are seeking a senior finance professional responsible for overseeing all aspects of UAE Corporate Tax (CT), VAT, and tax-related accounting for the ADGM entity. The role integrates advanced tax compliance expertise with hands-on accounting responsibilities, including transfer pricing, intercompany accounting, and statutory reporting. This position works in close partnership with global tax teams, external auditors, and regulatory authorities to ensure full compliance, audit readiness, and effective execution of special projects. 

 

WHAT YOULL DO

 

 Day to Day Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage UAE Corporate Tax compliance, including registration, annual filings, disclosures, and coordination with the US Global Tax team.
  • Maintain Transfer Pricing documentation (Master File, Local File) in line with FTA and OECD requirements and ensure QFZP compliance.
  • Act as primary contact for FTA audits, queries, voluntary disclosures, and legislative updates.
  • Oversee UAE VAT compliance, including registration, return filings, payments, invoice integrity, refunds, and FTA portal management.
  • Support month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, and statutory accounts, ensuring accurate tax reporting under IFRS.
  • Advise on tax implications of commercial contracts and new business initiatives.
  • Support senior finance leadership on reporting, KPIs, strategic projects (e.g. M&A, structuring, systems upgrades).
  • Lead key finance initiatives, including e-invoicing implementation for 2026.

 

WHO YOU ARE

 

We are looking for a candidate with experience in the following areas:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CTA) required.
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
  • 710+ years of experience in finance and tax operations within multi-entity, multi-currency environments, with demonstrated strength in business partnering and process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax, including FTA rules and guidance, Transfer Pricing, and ADGM regulatory filings, with hands-on experience using the FTA EmaraTax portal.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and practical application of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Advanced financial modelling and analytical capabilities, particularly in Excel, along with experience using EPM and BI tools and familiarity with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
