Currently seeking a Senior Sales Training Manager to lead and elevate the sales training function across the organisation, the ideal candidate will come from a professional services or pharmaceutical industry background, with experience gained in a dedicated training or learning & development (L&D) function.
This is a high-profile role suited to a strong, dynamic, and results-driven individual who can make an immediate impact on the design, delivery, and content of the sales training programmes. The successful candidate will bring a structured, data-driven, and high-performance approach to developing sales capability across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive sales training strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Utilise the latest data analytics, training technologies, and industry trends to enhance sales performance and learning outcomes.
- Redefine and elevate the delivery quality and content of existing training programmes to ensure immediate business impact.
- Collaborate closely with senior sales leaders and directors to identify skill gaps and performance improvement opportunities.
- Introduce modern, evidence-based training methodologies and assessment tools to measure effectiveness.
- Drive consistency and excellence in sales execution through ongoing coaching, development, and certification programmes.
- Oversee the creation of engaging, interactive training materials and digital learning solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Sales Trainers to deliver world-class training and onboarding programmes.
- Report regularly at Director level on sales capability metrics, performance impact, and training ROI.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or a related field; masters preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in sales training or learning & development, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience gained within a dedicated training or L&D function in professional services or the pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable.
- A high-impact leader with a proven ability to quickly transform training delivery, content, and engagement across large teams.
- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing impactful, data-informed training frameworks.
- Strong understanding of modern learning technologies, digital platforms, and current industry best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to measure and report training impact.
