Job Description
Traveling Housekeeper / Junior Butler (must have a right to work in the US)
UHNW Private Household
Location: St. Petersburg, Florida, with international travel
Salary: $90,000–$140,000 USD per annum, depending on experience
Position: Full-time, permanent
Benefits: Car provided, generous time off, and international travel opportunities
We are seeking an exceptional Traveling Housekeeper / Junior Butler to join a close-knit private household team supporting a UHNW family with residences in Florida, London, and Malta.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, personable, and service-oriented professional looking to establish a long-term career in luxury private household service.
The family is seeking someone who combines meticulous attention to detail with a warm, engaging personality, a proactive approach, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional standards.
We would particularly welcome candidates transitioning from the luxury yachting industry, as well as individuals with experience in five-star hotels, private members' clubs, or other high-end hospitality environments.
The successful candidate will initially be based at the family's beautifully designed residence in downtown St. Petersburg, working alongside an exceptional Private Chef. As the family's international lifestyle develops, the position will evolve into a traveling role, accompanying the Principals to their European residences and other destinations worldwide.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position combining meticulous housekeeping, informal butler service, household organization, and personal support.
The family has a particular appreciation for contemporary art, exceptional interior design, and beautifully maintained surroundings. They are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in presentation, understands the importance of discretion, and enjoys creating an immaculate, welcoming home.
Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional housekeeping standards, including detailed cleaning and care of luxury interiors, marble, fine furnishings, glassware, and delicate surfaces.
- Managing laundry, wardrobe organization, garment care, steaming, and meticulous presentation of linens.
- Providing daily household preparation, evening turndown service, and ensuring the residence is maintained to impeccable standards.
- Assisting with informal dining, table settings, food and beverage service, and occasional private entertaining.
- Working alongside the Private Chef, assisting with deliveries, kitchen organization, inventory, and service preparation as required.
- Overseeing household supplies, replenishment, and the organization of storage spaces.
- Supporting the setup and organization of the family's new penthouse, with opportunities to contribute ideas around presentation, functionality, and interior styling.
- Assisting with packing, unpacking, and travel preparations, including the stocking and preparation of private aircraft and international residences.
- Coordinating with external vendors, contractors, and specialist service providers as required.
- Supporting the development of household manuals, operational procedures, and service standards.
The Candidate
We are looking for a polished, energetic, and naturally personable individual who thrives in a high-standard, service-focused environment.
Personality, attitude, and cultural fit are paramount. The family is open to candidates at an earlier stage of their careers who demonstrate exceptional potential, a willingness to learn, and a genuine commitment to private service.
The ideal candidate will offer:
- Previous experience in luxury yachting, five-star hospitality, private households, or a similarly service-oriented environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a genuine appreciation for immaculate presentation.
- A warm, engaging, and professional personality, with the confidence to interact comfortably with Principals and guests.
- A proactive, intuitive approach, anticipating requirements rather than waiting for direction.
- A flexible, hands-on attitude and willingness to undertake all aspects of household service.
- An interest in contemporary art, luxury interiors, design, travel, and hospitality.
- Excellent discretion, judgment, and respect for confidentiality.
- A strong work ethic, positive energy, and commitment to health, wellness, and personal presentation.
- A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within an international UHNW household.
Formal butler training is not essential, and the family is open to supporting professional development and specialist training for the right individual.
Schedule & Travel
The position will initially follow a predominantly daytime schedule, with flexibility for evening dinner service and household turndown requirements.
International travel will become an increasingly important aspect of the role, with opportunities to accompany the family to London, Malta, and luxury destinations across Europe and beyond.
The family values a balanced working environment and offers a generous annual leave allowance.
Career Development & Benefits
This is a particularly exciting opportunity for someone seeking more than a traditional housekeeping position.
The family operates within the worlds of film, entrepreneurship, venture capital, contemporary art, and luxury hospitality, offering exposure to an interesting and internationally connected environment.
As the household and wider family office operations expand, there will be opportunities to develop into more senior positions, potentially encompassing Household Management, international travel coordination, and private aviation service.
The package includes a competitive salary of $90,000–$140,000 USD, a car, generous time off, and extensive international travel opportunities.
Above all, the family is looking for someone who will become a trusted, valued, and long-standing member of their private household team.
